The Pink Chair Fiasco and a Close Call in the Garage!
Hey there,
I wanted to share a couple of funny stories from my weekend.
My mom was visiting and teaching my daughter how to sew. She wanted to get her a new sewing chair, a bright pink one!
Unfortunately it arrived after my mom had already returned to Minnesota.
Dad to the rescue!
Dad to the rescue to put the chair together, but things got interesting when the holes didn't line up as I was attaching the cushioned seat to the metal frame.
I was tempted to drill new holes, but I'm glad I didn't.
It was like that time on "Home Improvement" when Jim tries to do construction work and always messes up, the real handy man was Al Borland!
As you can see the final product turned out fine and I am glad I kept my calm and didn’t go drilling new holes.
After we finished my daughter asked me, “Dad why are you sweating so much!”
Think before you back up
Next up, we were rushing out the door for a church seminar and I forgot to close the back door of our minivan.
My wife screamed as the rearview camera showed the garage door getting closer and closer!
I safely got out, but it was a close call.
We've had some minivan mishaps lately, like when I tried to push snow with the front of the bumper... let's just say it didn't end well.
But we're due for a new mini-van soon because we got it when our youngest was born and he is eight years old!
