My Business Card Magic Trick

If you don’t know, I practiced and performed magic for 10 years. I jokingly say that being a doctor was my backup plan, but I think I made the right choice because doing shows involves lots of nights and weekends.

I still like a good magic trick, so if you have one, feel free to pull me aside and share it with me.

One of my favorite local magicians who just so happens to frequent a local restaurant is Fran Flynn, maybe I can talk him into being a patient some day! (If you know him, put in a good word for me)

What Is Shockwave?

Many of our patients in the office receive shockwave therapy. You may have never heard of this treatment, but the same technology is used to shoot sound waves at patients suffering from kidney stones, breaking them up to relieve them.

We use this treatment to apply a dose of injury to tissue (such as plantar fascia and Achilles tendon) to help speed its healing.

We frequently have patients who have suffered from pain for years without improvement and feel significantly better after this type of treatment.

Technically, it is called “Regenerative Medicine,” which focuses on improving your own body’s response to heal the tissue.

You will know what we discuss if we mention the procedure in the office.
