Porokeratoma Treatment Process
TREATMENT PROCESS
This is my current treatment process for patients with Porokeratomas (clogged sweat glands), please watch the video for full details.
- 1st Visit - Evaluate your condition trim off the painful callus and apply salicylic acid to the area.
- Pumice and Cream - Using a pumice and callus cream can help reduce recurrence.
- Orthotics - Orthotics are useful to offload the painful callused area to prevent recurrence.
- Shoe Modifications - Sometimes wider shoes can be useful or doing a shoe-liner cut out can take pressure off a painful area with a deep porokeratoma.
-
Excision - At times I recommend removing the painful porokeratoma with a 3-4mm punch excision technique.
