The pool saga - A hole in our pool liner

This summer we had an incident with our backyard pool. We had back to back birthday parties for our two children this summer. They were both pool parties and the kids got kind of rambunctious.

A few days after we noticed that all of the water was flowing into the ravine next to our house in Shrewsbury. Good thing we didn’t have any neighbors next door or they would have been flooded.

Next came the struggle of fixing the liner. For anyone that has a pool and doesn’t know know to do anything with a pool (like me), I had to hire a “pool guy.”

I have had the same pool guy since we got our house but he changed his name to “pool god” when he first introduced himself to us.

So, we called the “pool god” to come and give us a quote for putting in a new liner in the pool.

I am glad we did because he said this is the last year he was doing new pool liners because he is getting quite old and recently had a stroke.

I was scared if he would be able to even finish the job.

I will tell you more of the story next week

Example of flat foot brace.
Is there a brace for flat feet?

There are flat feet and then there are REALLY flat feet. We see many of the really flat ones in our office. With simple flat feet you can get by wearing good supportive shoes and an orthotic but with the really flat type many times a brace is more comfortable.

The brace that we use for our patients is called a Medial Blaze AFO. AFO means Ankle Foot Orthotic because it includes a foot orthotic and ankle brace together.

Here is a short video of a patients wearing the brace HERE.

Also we did a webinar about flat feet with all the doctors you can watch the recorded webinar HERE.

Struggling with flat foot pain, give us a call.
