A surprising benefit of aging

Do you feet tickle?

Those that are missing feeling in their feet many times have a condition called neuropathy.

What our patients say

“The recovery was long but Dr. Feldman was very helpful throughout the whole recovery.”

Dr. Feldman did my foot surgery. It was a successful surgery. The recovery was long but Dr Feldman was very helpful throughout the whole recovery. He responded to my questions via texts within a reasonable time manner. Dr. Feldman is great overall.

A Surprising Benefit of Aging

Lately, it seems like everything in our house is breaking at once. Our dishwasher is on the fritz, and our stovetop stopped lighting automatically. To avoid a full kitchen renovation, we opted for an electric lighter.

Little did we know, this new tool had an unexpected perk. When lit, it emits a high-pitched sound that's undetectable to me, but unbearable for my kids!

It turns out that as we age, our hearing declines, especially for high-pitched sounds. Who knew getting older would come with an advantage. I can’t hear the electric lighter and for my kids it is a b "torture tool"?

Getting Rid of Warts - Our Office Newsletter

Do you have a bump on your skin that just won't go away? It might be a wart! Warts are tiny bumps caused by a virus that can spread in wet places like swimming pools.

How do you know if it's a wart? Look closely at your skin - if you see tiny black dots and the skin lines go around the bump (instead of through it), it's probably a wart.

Good news! We have some special ways to make warts disappear using three super cool treatments together:

  1. A special microwave machine that helps your body fight the wart
  2. Medicine that makes a tiny blister
  3. Special cream you can put on at home

This three-way treatment works really well - it makes warts go away faster than other treatments, usually in just 2-3 visits!

You can try simple things at home first, like putting duct tape or special medicine on the wart. But if the wart stays for more than 3 months, it's time to see the doctor.

Remember: The sooner you get help, the faster that pesky wart will disappear!

Here is a video about warts you can watch HERE.

Why are warts black?

selected

Have you ever wondered why some warts look black?

Warts turn dark because of tiny blood vessels inside the wart get clogged up, just like when a pipe gets blocked. These blocked vessels turn dark, making the wart look black.

When you come to see us many time we trim off the wart and there is bleeding that look like little pin pokes because of the blood. This blood feeds the wart so that it continues to grow.

One of the treatments we use is a laser that makes the blood vessels clot and form blisters.
